Allen Iverson going to the Indiana Pacers or Oklahoma City Thunder?
This morning I ran into an article about a writer over hearing Iverson's agent Leon Rose talking about offers Iverson has got that nobody knows about. The article is below.
I am not saying this is true it could easily be a made up rumor. But some reasons this could be true is the Rockets,Pacers and Thunder need another scorer to go along with their stars in Granger, McGrady and Durant. Another reason is that the Indiana and Houston arenas are not always full and they do want to sell tickets.
Another reason is that Iverson can easily help the Pacers and Rockets get a 7th seed in the playoffs. Maybe even the Thunder can do something with Iverson but that is hard because this team is very young and inexperienced.
Another reason Iverson could be open to signing with these teams is they can all give him the money he wants for a one year deal and they can also let him start. All three situations could be very similar to the Nuggets situation with Iverson. He could team with another great scorer in either Durant, McGrady or Granger and help carry these teams to the playoffs.
Out of these three situations I think the best one for Iverson would be Indiana. They are a team that is trying to get into the playoffs and need scoring help for Granger. They can easily get a 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. Iverson could start and get more shots which would help him show the world why he is still an elite player. He could make some good things happened in Indiana.
But again this is all a rumor but there are many reasons why it could be true. Iverson has been quiet this summer and he is still thinking of where to go because next season could be the most important season of Iverson's career and he needs to make the most of it. No matter where he goes he will be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
