Welbeck Out of FA Cup Final and England internationals

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Welbeck will miss the FA Cup final against Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday.

The Gunners boss also noted that the former Manchester United striker would be unavailable for England's friendly international against the Republic of Ireland and the Euro 2016 qualifier in Slovenia.

The England international has been hindered by a series of niggling injuries since making his move from Manchester United, missing various segments of the season with a variety of fitness problems.

When fit, he has impressed with his work rate and versatility to play both as a lone striker or as a wideman, although his scoring has been erratic. 

His athleticism opens up countless running lanes for team-mates, but manager Wenger will have to make do without his mobile forward for the biggest game of Arsenal's season.
