Sanders Returns to Practice, Will Increase Activity This Week
Monday, Aug. 31
Cameron Wolfe of the Denver Post noted Sanders' return to practice, with the wideout expected to be a full participant at practice ahead of Denver's final preseason game, per an Aug. 27 report from Mike Klis of 9News.
Sanders tore up the NFL in his first season with Denver, catching 101 passes for 1,404 yards and nine touchdowns on 141 targets, all career highs. He was the perfect complement to Demaryius Thomas on the outside and thrived as Eric Decker's replacement after Decker chose to sign with the New York Jets last offseason.
After spending several seasons in Pittsburgh as the No. 2 option behind Antonio Brown, Sanders has found a home in Denver.
Getting him back into a full rhythm with quarterback Peyton Manning before the regular season will be key, as Sanders will pair with Thomas on the outside to give Denver one of the most dangerous receiving duos in the NFL. With a healthy Sanders in the fold, the Broncos should once again have one of the league's most explosive offenses.
