Henderson Returns vs. Manchester City, Scores in First Half
Sunday, Mar. 1
Liverpool confirmed Henderson was in the starting lineup:
The reliable midfielder, who scored a goal in the first half against City, was never expected to be sidelined long due to the ankle injury, according to James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo.
Henderson has developed into a reliable figure for Brendan Rodgers, who awarded the former Sunderland man the Reds' vice-captaincy in September. Despite suffering widespread criticism during his initial season with the club, across the last two campaigns he has evolved into an all-round midfield talent for the Anfield side.

Energetic, ambitious and willing to go box-to-box, Henderson's legs are becoming more and more important during Steven Gerrard's deceleration. He injects urgency into Liverpool's play and is willing to work avidly in either half, an attribute best highlighted by his stint on the right wing.
