DeAndre Hopkins, Tom Savage's Fantasy Value After Ryan Fitzpatrick Injury
Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a leg injury and was carted off the field against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. Another injury at the quarterback position leaves the Texans looking to Tom Savage to lead the offense down the stretch.
The Texans' official account noted Fitzpatrick would not return to the field:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ian Rapoport of NFL.com would later note Fitzpatrick's season is reportedly over with a broken leg:
Savage was then thrust into the role against the division-rival Colts. The rookie had never completed a pass in the league prior to Sunday and didn't look particularly sharp on his first drive.

His first mistake didn't come on a pass, but rather a handoff attempt to Arian Foster, as Around The NFL notes:
While Savage likely won't have much fantasy value for owners in the playoffs, the change has a huge impact on DeAndre Hopkins. His value would seem to take a drop with the rookie under center, but Savage has actually looked his way multiple times.
One of Savage's biggest early completions was a 35-yard pass to the second-year receiver. Daniel Gotera of KHOU-TV points out Hopkins' early impact in the game:
Let's be honest, no one is looking to Savage to carry the team in such a crucial time of the fantasy season. But even if he leads the team down the stretch, Hopkins continues to look like a solid option.

Compiling 77 total yards and getting targeted 13 times, Hopkins is still the receiver to own in Houston. Facing a difficult Baltimore Ravens defense in Week 16, Hopkins might be a riskier start than usual.
Given his success with the likes of Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallet and now Savage under center, however, he still looks like a decent flex play with a potential championship on the line.
