Larry Fitzgerald Becomes Youngest Player to Reach 900 Catches
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes in Thursday's 12-6 win over the St. Louis Rams to become the youngest player ever with 900 career receptions, according to the National Football Post.
At 31 years and 102 days, Fitzgerald entered Thursday's contest with 896 career receptions, needing just four more to hit the mark. While mostly limited to short gains on the night, he picked up 16 yards on a 3rd-and-10 in the second quarter for catch No. 900.
Fitzgerald finished the game with seven receptions for just 30 yards, giving him 904 catches for 12,089 yards over the course of his 11-year career, which has been spent entirely with the Cardinals.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He's one of only 18 players to catch 900 career passes, though Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith sits just three away at 897, heading into Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fitzgerald's 904 receptions are good for fifth among all active players, as he trails only Reggie Wayne (1,061), Andre Johnson (996), Anquan Boldin (929) and Jason Witten (925), at least for the time being.
Among players younger than 32 years old, Brandon Marshall (773 catches) is closest to Fitzgerald on the active receptions leaderboard.
Fitzgerald will almost inevitably reach 1,000 receptions before retirement, and he's a decent bet to wind up in the top three of the all-time leaderboard. Third-place Marvin Harrison retired with 1,102 catches, leaving him well behind the 1,325 of second-placed Tony Gonzalez.
Gonzalez also seems to be within Fitzgerald's reach, but it would be a tall task to surpass all-time leader Jerry Rice, who caught a whopping 1,549 passes.
