Steven Jackson, Jacquizz Rodgers, Devonta Freeman Post-Week 14 Fantasy Reaction

Timothy RappDec 8, 2014

Do you remember when Steven Jackson was an absolute afterthought for fantasy owners? When he started the season with nine total points in his first two games, or had just two touchdowns in his first seven contests?

Well, those days are behind us, folks. Jackson has now posted 10 or more fantasy points in three straight games and in five of his last six contests. While you ideally would only utilize him as a weekly flex consideration, his recent play has totally justified his place as your RB2.

And trust me, I didn't think I would be typing those words this season.

As for Jacquizz Rodgers and Devonta Freeman, neither player needs to be owned. While each will get snaps to keep Jackson fresh, it's clear who the lead back is in Atlanta. Freeman likely is going to have some fantasy value come next season, but for now it's all Jackson, all the time.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and tweet some corny jokes too. It's more fun than a Colin Kaepernick press conference.
