Philip Rivers, Ryan Mathews, Malcom Floyd's Post-Week 14 Fantasy Reaction
It was not the day most fantasy owners had hoped for from the San Diego Chargers offense, but some of the notable players still came away with decent numbers.
Going against a stout New England Patriots defense, Philip Rivers struggled mightily to get going along with his backfield mate, Ryan Mathews. One player who did shine, however, was Malcom Floyd, thanks to reaching the end zone on a 15-yard strike from Rivers.

In the first week of the fantasy playoffs for most leagues, Rivers was a disappointment. Those who came into the prime-time matchup needing good production might not need to worry about starting him next week.
On the receiving end of his lone touchdown was Floyd, who led the team in receiving yards. Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus noted the positive and negative about Floyd as a fantasy player:
Along with Rivers, Mathews was also stymied by the Patriots on the ground and finished with just one reception. Going against an unforgiving Denver Broncos defense next week, expectations for the back should be tempered.
Rivers has typically played well against Denver, including a three-touchdown game in October. In deep leagues, Floyd should be picked up and started as a solid flex player after two straight weeks with 8.5 points or more.
