The tournament will be the 11th edition of the competition and will be played from Dec. 10 through Dec. 20.
The Galacticos will be hoping to add the trophy to their La Decima Champions League achievement, after they won the European Cup against bitter city rivals, Atletico Madrid.
The title is contested by the reigning champions of each of FIFA's six confederations and the national champions of the host country.
Representing CONMEBOL will be Copa Libertadores holders San Lorenzo from Buenos Aires, Argentina. The South American club pose the main threat to the Spanish giants in the chase for the trophy.

AFC Champions League winners Western Sydney Wanderers will also participate as well as ES Setif (CAF) and Cruz Azul (CONCACAF).
Making up the numbers are Oceania kingpins Auckland City and Morocco team Moghreb Tetouan, the winners of the 2014 Botola.
Madrid have started their campaign in top gear this year and are the form team in La Liga this season, leading the title race—winning 11 of their 13 matches, per Sky Sports.
Ballon d'Or holder Ronaldo has been in the form of his life, posting statistics from what seem like another planet. The Portuguese machine already has 20 goals and eight assists from his 12 domestic league games, per WhoScored.com, and he is likely to be on fire in north-west Africa when the Club World Cup begins.

Carlo Ancelotti will fully expect his team of superstars to lift the trophy and continue the impressive momentum they have built upon after La Decima.
The 21-year-old Jese is a product of Los Blancos' youth system and is yet to feature in La Liga during the current season. The player has been sidelined with a serious knee injury for eight months but returned to the first team in the Copa del Rey, appearing as a sub and scoring, per Pete Jenson of the Mail Online.
The attacking midfielder had impressed last season and was in contention to make Spain's World Cup squad before injury ended his campaign.
Jese's young compatriot Medran has made the breakthrough this year, with the injury to Luka Modric helping his cause. Medran has primarily found himself on the bench but has featured in the closing stages of matches.
Ronaldo will want to add a second Club World Cup to his vast collection of accolades after winning the tournament in 2008 with Manchester United. He is certainly the best player on the planet at the moment, and this title would further prove that.
Medran and Jese could see significant game time as Ancelotti looks to use his options in rotation, and the young Spanish starlets might even see themselves start, with Madrid entering the semi-final stage as one of the title favourites.
