Fantasy Football Week 14: Best FanDuel, DraftKings Lineups and Advice
While all the other fantasy players stress over the playoffs starting this week in many leagues, one-week players aren't feeling any added pressure in Week 14. After all, each and every week is a chance to start over (or a chance to make a lot of money, if you play your cards right).
Of course, that means each and every week is its own season, too. So maybe anyway you slice it, fantasy players are constantly dealing with pressure.
But one way to relieve some of that tension is by seeking a bit of guidance. Thus, I humbly put forward my own advice for your one-week teams this week and break down the players to watch and matchups to exploit.

For the second week in a row I've compiled two lineups for you since one player I really like, Rashad Jennings, didn't practice on Wednesday. Fear not, for I have your contingency plan in place.
Let's start at quarterback, where it's hard not to like Russell Wilson this week.
For starters, he's so very consistent, with 16 or more FanDuel points in four straight weeks and an average of 20.6 FanDuel points per week. His ability to make plays with his feet—he has 679 rushing yards and four rushing scores this season—ensures he posts solid fantasy points even when the passing game isn't clicking.
Ah, but it should be clicking this week against the Philadelphia Eagles, a team with the 26th-ranked pass defense in the NFL and a secondary that has given up 24 passing touchdowns this season, tied for 27th in the league. Don't be surprised if Wilson has a big week.
I've become a big Mark Ingram fan this year. It certainly helps that he has 13 or more FanDuel points in seven of his last nine games, or that when he last faced the Carolina Panthers he rushed 30 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Even as the eighth-most expensive running back at FanDuel, Ingram is a nice bang for the buck this week.
And then there is Jennings or Andre Williams. Whoever ends up getting the start should absolutely be in your FanDuel lineup this week facing a porous Tennessee Titans run defense. Here's why:
- Week 8: Arian Foster totaled 173 yards from scrimmage and scored three touchdowns.
- Week 10: Justin Forsett rushed 20 times for 112 yards and two scores.
- Week 11: Le'Veon Bell rushed 33 times for 204 yards and a score and added two receptions for 18 yards.
- Week 12: LeSean McCoy rushed 21 times for 130 yards and a score, while Darren Sproles added 39 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown.
- Week 13: Foster rushed 19 times for 79 yards and added five catches for 26 yards and a score.
Yup, you guessed it—all of those players were facing the Titans. And before you try to find some sort of silver lining for the Tennessee defense and note that there wasn't a memorable performance against them in Week 9: That's only because they were on a bye.
Either Jennings or Williams should be in your lineup this week.
At wide receiver, I just really liked the price I was getting on both Kelvin Benjamin and DeAndre Hopkins. No, Benjamin isn't as bad as his 8.1 FanDuel points last week. No, Hopkins isn't as good as the 40.3 he scored last week.
But both have pretty solid matchups this week—Benjamin faces a New Orleans defense that is 28th in pass defense, while Hopkins faces a Jacksonville defense that is 24th—so I felt like each represented a potential bargain at his price point.
In the Williams lineup, I flipped Benjamin for Randall Cobb given the extra cash I had—I prefer Hopkins to Benjamin because the former has shown great chemistry with Ryan Fitzpatrick—because Cobb is one of the more reasonably priced elite wideouts, and just about everything Aaron Rodgers touches turns to gold right now.
And then there's Stedman Bailey, whose selection might cause an eyebrow or two to raise. There are a few reasons I like Bailey.
For starters, it's hard to concoct a lineup where you don't have to take a risk on at least one cheaper player. And Bailey has been quite good of late, with 30.9 total FanDuel points in the past two weeks. It's clear he's developing a rapport with Shaun Hill, which will come in handy against a Washington defense that has given up 26 passing touchdowns this season, 30th in the NFL.
It's a bit of a lottery-ticket pick, sure. But given his recent performances, it's a gamble I'm willing to take.
At tight end, Antonio Gates is a nice value. Only one team has allowed more than the 786 passing yards the New England Patriots have given up to opposing tight ends this season (the Green Bay Packers, with 808). You could do far worse at tight end.
With this lineup you won't have much money for a kicker, so just go with a guy on a team with a solid offense. In this case, I snagged New Orleans' Shayne Graham.
| QB | Russell Wilson | $7.7k |
| RB | Eddie Lacy | $7.8k |
| RB | Mark Ingram | $6.5k |
| WR | Torrey Smith | $5.7k |
| WR | Doug Baldwin | $4.4k |
| WR | Stedman Bailey | $4.3k |
| TE | Antonio Gates | $4.7k |
| FLEX | Joique Bell | $5.5k |
| D/ST | Minnesota Vikings | $3.4k |
| Total = $50k |
One of the reasons I felt compelled to focus my budget on running back this week was that I felt I could get a few bargains at wide receiver. That made it hard to pass up Ingram, for starters, but also allowed me to splurge on Eddie Lacy.
Lacy has at least 13 DraftKings points in six straight games, so he's a pretty safe player to spend a bit more of your budget on. He also faces an Atlanta defense that is 31st in points allowed to opposing running backs in DraftKings leagues, so his upside is gigantic this week.
I was also able to nab Joique Bell to throw in my flex. Bell got back on track against the Chicago Bears last week and has an appealing matchup against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that is 23rd in points allowed to opposing running backs in DraftKings leagues.
I'm not worried about Reggie Bush returning, as the veteran running back simply isn't the player he once was, and Bell has looked like the better option in Detroit's backfield for about two years now. Bell will be the main man.

Yes, I went bargain shopping at wideout. I've already touched on Bailey above, but Doug Baldwin? Really?
Yes, really. The Eagles are 30th in points allowed to opposing wideouts in DraftKings leagues, for starters. They've given up 17 passing touchdowns to wide receivers this season, tied with the Houston Texans for worst in the NFL. Their secondary, in a nutshell, is poor.
It's tough to trust Seattle's wide receivers because, well, they aren't terribly good. But if any of them is going to breakout this week, it's Baldwin. Ignore his two lackluster weeks leading into this game—the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers have far superior passing defenses than the one in Philly.
Finally, I had the budget remaining to add Torrey Smith, who has become Mr. Consistency of late, with 13 or more DraftKings points in seven of Baltimore's last nine games. Until he stops producing, keep finding a way to slide him into your lineup given the bargain he represents.
