Antonio Brown, Ben Roethlisberger, Heath Miller's Post-Week 13 Fantasy Reaction

Timothy RappNov 30, 2014

There are two versions of Ben Roethlisberger.

The first is the erratic quarterback who leaves fantasy owners scratching their heads, wondering why he suddenly can't move the Pittsburgh Steelers down the field in the passing game. The second is the player who has the potential to absolutely explode and did just that when he threw for 12 touchdowns in a two-week stretch earlier this season.

We saw both versions on Sunday. The first showed up when the game was in question. The second showed up in garbage time. Steelers fans may not have been pleased with that, but Big Ben fantasy owners were ecstatic.

The problem for Big Ben owners is that the first guy seems to show up way more frequently than the second guy. If you are playing matchups with Roethlisberger, you can totally justify sliding him into your starting lineup depending on the week. But if you have a more reliable, productive QB1, Big Ben should remain on your bench.

Antonio Brown should not, because he's been fantasy's most reliable receiver this season. He proved that once again on Sunday.

Despite Big Ben's slump, Heath Miller has now posted 70 receiving yards or more in his last two weeks. Miller's ceiling is pretty low, so starting him isn't about his upside, but he's certainly been a popular target for Big Ben in recent weeks, making him a low-end TE1 consideration.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than being Richard Sherman when the San Francisco 49ers come to town.
