Ryan Fitzpatrick's Full Fantasy Scouting Report Following Ryan Mallett's Injury
The Ryan Fitzpatrick era may be getting a reboot for the Houston Texans, but that doesn't mean the same should hold true for your fantasy team.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
If you're in a deep two-quarterback league and are simply looking for insurance at the position, then Fitzpatrick can be added. In that sense, he has appeal in the fact that he's actually starting football games.
But that's pretty much where the fantasy value ends. He's a QB3, so unless you're facing very unusual circumstances (like, you get extra points for magnificent beards), he should remain on the waiver wire.
In nine starts with the Texans this season, Fitzpatrick threw for an average of 217.8 yards to go with 11 touchdowns, eight interceptions and five fumbles (one lost). His play under center was completely underwhelming, and he eventually earned a trip to the bench.
Football Outsiders' Scott Kacsmar put it simply:
Head coach Bill O'Brien has clearly made up his mind about Fitzpatrick, and it's difficult to imagine the soon-to-be 32-year-old suddenly turning things around. If the Texans lose another game or two, it's conceivable that O'Brien takes a look at what rookie Tom Savage has to offer as the starter.
Either way, Fitzpatrick is fully off the fantasy radar despite his newest role.
