Venice Beach, Florida is the shark tooth capitol of the world.

More importantly, it’s also my vacation spot through the weekend–so take note of the shorter posts!

Don’t have any idea why so many shark teeth are found here, but the locals sell shark tooth necklaces faster than they can make them.

They say wearing the necklaces brings you good luck. Would’ve liked to try them out about a month ago with this Cubs lineup.

As it is, the men in blue have finally started moving in unison, and in the right direction.

Lee, Aramis, and Soriano are swinging red-hot bats. Fukudome has settled into the leadoff spot and the role players off the bench are making positive contributions as well.

Look no further than the first six games of this homestand where the Cubs are averaging 6.8 runs per game, 2.2 home runs and sport a .401 on base percentage.

Keep this up and they’ll cap the homestand 6-1 before leaving for Florida. Shark tooth necklaces unnecessary.
