Chris Mottram & Spencer Hall on Ep. 24 of the “JoeSportsFan Show”
A slight change of pace for the JoeSportsFan Show this week as Sebek and Bacott began Episode 24 talking about some oddities that occurred during this week in sports history…played some “Wiffle Ball”…and then ended with a topical discussion about ESPN throwing analysts Orel Hershiser and Steve Phillips in the dugout camera wells for Monday night’s Cardinals/Dodgers game in St. Louis.
During the first segment, Sebek and Bacott observed athletes currently on this week’s top “Google Trends”…as compared them to the top Google searches that led people to this miraculous site. The comparisons were astonishing. Not really, but that sounded epic.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
During the critically-acclaimed (well, not by all people) round table portion of our show, we were joined by two newbies; Chris Mottram (SB Nation, Mister Irrelevant.com) and Spencer Hall (The Sporting Blog, EDSBS.com).
The two greenhorns certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact, they spurred conversation into an open discussion about “Jock Jams” - which was dearly appreciated by our show hosts and, of course, the Sixty Nine Boyz.
Questions asked of our esteemed guests during Episode 24 of the “JoeSportsFan Show”:
1.) On Monday night, ESPN had baseball analysts in the camera wells next to the home and visitor dugouts. You can place analysts anywhere you want in any sport. What sport and what location in the associated venue do you think would provide the most value for fans?
2.) What is your favorite athlete nickname in sports?
3.) With Ricky Henderson and his bright green gloves batting gloves inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame this weekend, it begs the question…if it was mandatory for all sports Hall of Fame inductees (past or present) to wear a signature piece of equipment that they wore during their playing career…whose speech are you most excited to see?
4.) “Awful Announcing” recently released a list of songs that will appear on the new Madden 2010 video game. What is your favorite typical stadium anthem?
5.) A la Stephon Marbury, you can pick one sports media personality to run a 24/7 web stream of their life. Pick your poison.
