NFL Schedule Week 12: TV Coverage Map, Start Times and Live Stream Info
Sunday's slate of games hasn't even begun, but we've already been thrown a couple of curveballs to begin Week 12 of the NFL season.
The week kicked off with a Thursday Night Football clash between the Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders. The Chiefs were on a major hot streak, defeating the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, and the Raiders had yet to win a game this season. Kansas City's victory was a foregone conclusion—except for the fact that Oakland won in perhaps the most surprising upset of the year.
Adding to the early unpredictability of the week, some wicked snow in Western New York put Sunday's bout between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills in jeopardy. To avoid these conditions, the game was moved to Monday night in Detroit. Yes, we have a Monday doubleheader this week.

Game of the Week
Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints
There are some rather enticing matchups Sunday, but this contest between the Ravens and Saints will dramatically affect the playoff picture for both the AFC and the NFC. After all, both of these teams are in the hunt for their respective divisions, but they're also entrenched in battles for wild-card spots.
The 6-4 Ravens are just a half-game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the win column and trail the 6-3-1 Cincinnati Bengals by a slim margin and a series tiebreaker. There are also four other 6-4 AFC teams heading into Week 12, giving Baltimore a run for its money for a postseason berth.
The 4-6 Saints aren't out of the playoff race despite a losing record. They may not be in serious contention for a wild-card spot due to the strength of the NFC, but the team trails the 4-6 Atlanta Falcons in the division due only to a series tiebreaker. A win could propel New Orleans to the top once again.
Adding to the intrigue here is the past success of both starting quarterbacks on Monday night, according to Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports:
This contest will certainly be interesting due to the unpredictable nature of both teams involved.
Baltimore is well rested coming off a bye week, but it had mixed results in prior weeks. The team was on a tear, with big wins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons, but it followed suit with two division losses to the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. However, the Ravens were able to right the ship before their bye, defeating the Tennessee Titans.
The largest problem for Baltimore in Week 12 will be its inconsistency on the road. The Ravens are 2-3 away from M&T Bank Stadium this season, and much of that has to do with quarterback Joe Flacco's play on the road:
| Home | 63.2 | 9 | 3 | 5 | 95.1 |
| Road | 61.6 | 8 | 5 | 9 | 86.3 |
New Orleans hasn't been very good against the pass this season, ranking 24th in the league in that department, so Flacco will be given an opportunity to better those numbers Monday night.
The Saints have the same kind of story here. This team has been even more inconsistent than Baltimore. New Orleans' road struggles were already well documented from previous seasons, and the team continued that trend early in 2014, starting the year with a 3-0 home record and an 0-4 road record. Then things went haywire.
After defeating the Carolina Panthers on the road, the Saints returned to New Orleans and dropped their next two home contests to the 49ers and Bengals. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel for the Saints, via ESPN Monday Night:
"The Saints have won 12 straight home games in primetime, the longest streak in NFL history since the merger. pic.twitter.com/99zBJyGKfK

So, which team has the upper hand?
With both teams struggling against the pass, the advantage in this contest has to correspond with the quarterback position. Even with the Saints' recent issues at home, Drew Brees is still completing 70.8 percent of his passes and has a 98.4 rating in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Taking Flacco's road inconsistency into account, it's tough to see New Orleans drop a third straight in its own territory Monday night.
Prediction: Saints 30, Ravens 24
