Davis Reveals He was Knocked Out Against Giants
Davis tweeted the scene from the play, which depicts coach Jim Harbaugh yelling to get him off the field to avoid a clock stoppage (NSFW language warning):
"2nd to last play of the game I got a spinning elbow to the face. I was literally knocked out for a sec. I'm officially an NFL player now.

"I remember waking up to Harbaugh saying "get him up and off the field!, We don't want the clock to stop!" lol Can't make this shit up.

It's unclear whether Davis was tested for a concussion Sunday. If found to have been concussed, he will be subject to the NFL's concussion protocol, which puts his status for next week's game against Washington up in the air. The league requires concussed players to pass tests from independent physicians before being cleared to play.
Davis will be replaced at right tackle by Jonathan Martin if he's unable to go. Martin, who came over in an offseason trade from the Miami Dolphins, has started five games this season as Davis' 2014 campaign continues to be mired with injuries. Davis missed the season's first three games with a hamstring injury before suffering a knee injury that kept him out two more games.
Losing Davis again would be a frustrating blow for a San Francisco offensive line that ranks among the worst in football. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been sacked 32 times, tied for the NFL high with Carolina's Cam Newton.
