Josh Gordon's Updated 2014 Fantasy Outlook Heading into Week 12
The wait is over. Josh Gordon, the fantasy football savior, hath returned.
Alright, so that's not technically true quite yet, but the final Gordon-less week is just about completed. That means you can officially insert the Cleveland Browns star wide receiver into your lineup, and not just in a daydream kind of way "just to see how it looks."
That's because Gordon's suspension is over, and as the NFL recently confirmed, he will be free to join the team Monday morning. And how do we feel about this, Patrick Mayo of RotoExperts.com?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Yep. Christmas is coming early.
First of all, if Gordon is still, somehow, available in your league, he's worth the No. 1 waiver pick or whatever remaining FAAB (Free-Agent Acquisition Budget) you may have left. If he's still available and there are no waivers in your league, then stop reading this right now and go pick him up. And shame on you for procrastinating.
Expectations should probably be somewhat tempered for a guy who has missed the first 11 weeks of the season, but Gordon's talent immediately puts him into the WR1 conversation.
As Donte Whitner explained, via the Akron Beacon Journal's Nate Ulrich, the explosive wide receiver will be ready to make up for lost time:
Gordon is 23 years old, he's one of the most talented players in the game, he led all wide receivers in fantasy points a year ago despite missing two games, and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan is ready to feature him in the game plan.
"I can’t wait to get him back, looking forward to it,” Shanahan said, via The Chronicle-Telegram's Scott Petrak. “And as soon as he’s ready to go, we’ll make sure to work to get him the ball.”
The Browns are a run-heavy team, but Shanahan has masterfully used the run to set up play-action all year. The big-play opportunity will be present for Gordon, and as he proved last year, he'll take advantage.
Again, it's probably right to pump the brakes a bit. It's unclear if Gordon will be in game shape, and there's a very real possibility he'll be on a snap count right off the bat.
But even on a snap count, Gordon is a transcendent talent capable of taking over at any given time. He is someone who is going to be winning a lot of fantasy leagues in the next month.
