WWE Main Event Results: Winners, Twitter Reaction and Analysis from November 11

The Doctor Chris MuellerNov 11, 2014

Welcome to Bleacher Report's recap of this week's Main Event. Here is where we take a look at what happened on the show, examining the winners, reactions to matches and any possible ramifications coming out of the program.

This week's show was part of the European tour currently taking place, and it was taped ahead of time instead of airing live like recent episodes.

With four matches on the card, this was a full hour of wrestling. Let's take a look at what happened on Main Event this week.

TOP NEWS

WRESTLING: OCT 02 AEW Dynamite/Rampage Pittsburgh
Monday Night RAW

Stardust vs. Adam Rose

It's hard to expect a lot when two goofballs like Stardust and Adam Rose have a match, but they still managed to throw in some actual wrestling in between all their weird hijinks.

In fact, this may have been the first time since dropping the Leo Kruger character that Rose has shown off some of his real wrestling skills.

Unlike the last two matches Rose has been involved in, The Bunny actually contributed to him picking up a win by providing a distraction for Stardust while taking out Goldust at ringside.

It certainly wasn't anything special in terms of technical wrestling, but it wasn't as unwatchable as some of the other stuff we've seen from Rose in the past.

Winner: Adam Rose

Grade: C-

Notes and Highlights:

  • The Bunny is so forgiving. Most people would stop partying with a guy who punched them in the face twice.
  • Unless Rose and the rabbit end up in the race for the Tag Team Championships, there was absolutely no point to putting Rose over Stardust.
  • The video package they played for Ryback after the match was great. It actually made him look like the monster he is supposed to be.

Twitter Reaction

Alicia Fox vs. Cameron

It would appear that Alicia Fox is automatically supposed to be a babyface after Paige turned on her since she ended up facing an established heel in Cameron.

This match was horrifically bad, but it wasn't Fox's fault at all. She is more talented than most people are willing to admit, but Cameron looked as green as she did on Tough Enough.

You could see the awkwardness at the end of the match when Cameron got to her feet too soon. Fox had to roll her up for the pin instead of hitting the Scissor Kick she had intended. It's not surprising that WWE chose not to put this match on YouTube.

Winner: Alicia Fox

Grade: F

Notes and Highlights:

  • Total Divas is pretty atrocious, but I have been advocating for Fox to join the cast since the beginning. If you have ever seen her outside the ring, you know she is actually pretty funny. Hopefully the producers of the show don't try to drown her in some made-up drama, and they just let her be herself.
  • It also helps that she is one of the most attractive Divas on the roster.
  • "Girl bye" has to be the stupidest catchphrase of all time. If the goal is to make us hate Cameron, mission accomplished.
  • This is where some creative editing would have really helped. The crowd was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. You could actually hear individual voices in the crowd, which is never a good thing in a full arena.

Twitter Reaction

Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn

This is where the show got on track. Sami Zayn and Tyson Kidd have developed such a good chemistry over the past several months that the idea of them having a bad match seems about as likely as a real push for Zack Ryder. (Get well soon, broski.)

This wasn't the jaw-dropping performance they've delivered in NXT numerous times, but it was definitely entertaining.

It proves how poorly booked Kidd has been. Kidd puts on the best match of the night whenever he isn't booked to job to someone else, and Zayn deserves just as much credit as Kidd for making this a fun encounter. If Zayn can keep himself off the injured list, he will be a huge star in the future.

Kidd ended up using his wife as a shield once again, allowing him to hit a fisherman's neckbreaker for the pin and the win. Don't let the picture on the video fool you. It's the right match.

Winner: Tyson Kidd

Grade: A-

Notes and Highlights:

  • Zayn's entrance theme is almost annoyingly catchy.
  • Kidd and Natalya are reminiscent of that couple everyone knew in high school. There was always some smart, pretty girl who was with a total douchebag, and nobody ever understood what she saw in him. They are doing a good job pulling it off, but it seems like the storyline has hit a wall. They either need to have a fake divorce or find something new to do.
  • Why did Zayn get rid of all the flags from the countries he's wrestled in on his tights? That was a really cool little addition to his character.
  • Zayn took a hard kick to the face like a champ. It really looked like Kidd connected more than he intended.

Twitter Reaction

Dean Ambrose vs. Justin Gabriel

This match ended up being a lot more technical than one would expect between a high-flyer like Justin Gabriel and a brawler like Dean Ambrose. The fact that both men can surprise us once in awhile is a very good thing.

Ambrose may have controlled most of the action, but Gabriel looked far more competitive than he has outside of NXT in quite some time.

The match was a little short, but it showcased the talents of both wrestlers very well. Ambrose picked up the win in the end with the new and improved Dirty Deeds.

Winner: Dean Ambrose

Grade: B+

Notes and Highlights:

  • Bray Wyatt delivered a very short but extremely effective promo earlier in the night. Sometimes less really is more, and Wyatt really knows how to take a few seconds and make them memorable.
  • Gabriel is even more poorly used than Kidd. He's more than just a high-flyer. He actually has wrestling skills, too.
