John Cena Must Destroy The Authority at WWE Survivor Series
John Cena will lead a team of WWE Superstars into a main event battle against The Authority at Survivor Series on Sunday, November 23. The match itself is a traditional Survivor Series confrontation and one that holds the fate of Triple H's faction because if The Authority loses, it must disband.
While Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have held all the cards and reigned with absolute power for over a year, the fact is that their time could very well be ticking away. And the man that will be responsible for bringing down the group is Cena himself.
From the moment that Triple H betrayed Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam in 2013, life in WWE has been very hard for the company's babyfaces. The reason for that was because of Hunter's heel domination, and that domination came in the form of The Authority.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭

With a McMahon at the head, Superstars at its command and even stooges thrown in for good measure, The Authority essentially became the new Corporation. No one was able to slow it down, and no one could stop its reign at the top.
Bryan was the best hope that fans had to see The Authority's foundation come crumbling down, and that did not happen. Even beating Triple H and his former protegees Batista and Orton at WrestleMania 30 was not enough. Bryan was later injured and forced to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The Shield gave The Authority everything it could handle, as The Hounds of Justice eliminated Evolution one member at a time at Payback in June. That singular accomplishment could have been the key to ending The Authority's run at the top of WWE.

But that victory was short lived as Seth Rollins turned on The Shield the next night on Raw. Once again, The Authority was left untouched and in total control.
This time, however, The Authority has found itself against the wall like never before. This time, its fate was put into play by Vince McMahon himself, and now, Triple H must face the very real possibility that his group will end on November 23.
And Cena is the man to make it happen.
The fact is that despite how over Orton is as a result of his recent face turn against The Authority, The Viper will not be the man leading the charge at Survivor Series. That distinction lies with Cena, who will ultimately get the credit for an Authority loss.

Cena is the one that is rallying the troops, he is the one whose name is on the team, and he is the one that should be at the forefront. Though he is not always treated as such by the fans, Cena is WWE's top face, and he should be taking on the top heels.
Bryan alone could not do it. The Shield as a trio could not finish the job. Cena, and perhaps Orton, along with three other top Superstars, could get it done.
But no matter how popular Orton is or how much fans want to see him come through against The Authority, the truth is that Cena is the one that will be standing tall at Survivor Series. He recently became the new top contender for Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and when that is combined with his standing in the company, the fact is that Cena must look strong on November 23.
The Authority's origins stem from Cena's loss at SummerSlam in 2013 so it's only fitting that he be the one to bring them down now. Triple H's group has run afoul of much resistance since its inception, but it has never run into anyone like Cena.
Cena does not back down and he never has. Despite how imposing the opponent may be and despite how outnumbered he is, he always finds a way to overcome the odds and win in the end. He is as unshakable as The Authority, and his desire to do the right thing is matched only by Triple H's desire to feed his character's ego.
Hunter and Stephanie's offer to join them fell on deaf ears with Cena, who promptly dismissed them and went right back to business as usual. He could not be moved then, and he will not be moved now. He will find a way to win at Survivor Series, and when he does, he and his team will be given credit for ending the most tyrannical, most corrupt authoritative faction that fans have seen in quite some time.
Cena is the top dog in WWE, and as such, he is the standard-bearer for the company. He is also the one representing the fans against any heel force that insults them and seeks to subvert their will. That force is The Authority, and Cena is the man to put an end to it once and for all.
