NFL Week 10 Picks: Final Predictions and Over-Under Odds Before Thursday Night
A noticeable uptick in playoff talk has emerged heading into Week 10. The conversation is seemingly heating up a bit early this season, in large part because the races remain so bunched up. That's especially true in the AFC, which features 11 teams with winning records.
Two of those squads will be in action Thursday night when the Cleveland Browns take on the Cincinnati Bengals in an AFC North clash. From an over-under perspective, a high-scoring game is likely given the performances of both offenses over the past few weeks, but it's not one of the week's best options.
With that in mind, let's check out predictions for the entire slate as the postseason race continues to become a bigger focus. The list is followed by a breakdown of the top choices for Week 10.

St. Louis Rams vs. Arizona Cardinals (Under)
For a brief period, it appeared the Rams had found another diamond in the rough with Austin Davis. The undrafted quarterback has cooled off in recent weeks, however. He's thrown seven touchdowns and six interceptions over the past four games and topped 200 yards just once.
The silver lining for St. Louis is the fact that the defense is coming off its best showing so far. The unit held the San Francisco 49ers to 10 points and sacked Colin Kaepernick eight times. That was enough to make up for the drop-off in offensive efficiency and scored the Rams a much-needed win.
Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com passed along comments from linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar, who sees the performance as a building block.
"It feels great for the game to be on our shoulders and for us to win the game," he said. "We haven't been able to close those games in those types of situations and we have given up big plays, and we didn't do that today. It feels good to do that and I think it's something we can build on."
They go up against a Cardinals squad that's proving more people wrong with each passing week. While Arizona is 7-1, it doesn't feature an explosive offense. It's averaging 330 yards per game, which ranks 23rd in the league.
Defensively, the Cardinals rank last against the pass. That's less of a concern heading into this game than it would have been a month ago when Davis was clicking. So this is a game in which the defenses should shine, keeping the score safely under the line.
New York Giants vs. Seattle Seahawks (Over)
Monday night was a perfect example of why the Giants are struggling. They want to play fast on offense, a plan set in motion after the sluggishness of last year. But they have made too many mistakes on offense, and the defense isn't holding up either.
New York has allowed at least 27 points in each game during its current three-game skid. Overall, the Giants are tied for 29th in yards allowed. And the play of the unit has been a key factor, as Russell Baxter of Pro Football Guru notes:
Of course, there were some question marks about the Giants defense coming into the season. On the flip side, the Seahawks defense was supposed to remain among the league's best. That hasn't necessarily been the case, though. While it's made strides in recent weeks, it isn't nearly as dominant as last year.
The offense has picked up the slack thanks to a strong rushing attack and the occasional monster game from Russell Wilson. That's the only reason the Seahawks are still firmly in contention to defend their Super Bowl title while waiting for the defense to rediscover its top form.
Ultimately, the Giants are likely to stick with their fast-paced attack against Seattle, which gave up 24 points to the Oakland Raiders last week. With the Seahawks ready to match, there should be plenty of scoring to push it over.
Tennessee Titans vs. Baltimore Ravens (Under)
Few things are cause for more concern during a season than a revolving door at quarterback. That's the case for Tennessee, which has juggled three different options. Zach Mettenberger has the reins right now, but the sixth-round rookie is still unproven.
Making matters worse, Bishop Sankey and Shonn Greene haven't provided much stability on the ground. It's tough to have much faith in the Titans offense as it faces off with a frustrated Baltimore defense.
The Ravens gave up 43 points to the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Before that point, they hadn't allowed more than 24 points, highlighted by giving up just 20 on the road to the Colts. So the defense should bounce back this week given the uncertainties for Tennessee.
All told, the only major concern here is Baltimore turning this game into a blowout. Then, the Titans may rack up enough points in garbage time to push the game over. But coming off a bye, the underdogs should at least keep the game competitive, securing the under.
