WWE Main Event Results: Winners, Twitter Reaction and Analysis from Nov. 4
Welcome to Bleacher Report's recap of this week's Main Event. Here is where we take a look at what happened on the show, examining the winners, reactions to matches and any possible ramifications coming out of the program.
This week's show featured a healthy mix of talent from every corner of WWE. Unlike a lot of episodes, there was actually quite a bit of storyline development in addition to the action.
Let's take a look at what happened on this week's episode of Main Event.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Jey Uso vs. Stardust
The show opened with a match featuring two participants in this Friday's WWE Tag Team Championship showdown inside a steel cage. Stardust showed some aggression, but it was Jey Uso who picked up the win.
The pace was quick, and the action was good, but the bout felt a little short. This should have been positioned as the night's main contest due to both men being very exciting in the ring and having a major title match this week.
Uso winning is definitely a sign that Gold and Stardust will be holding onto the titles. Making the challengers look strong right before a title match usually means the champion will retain.
Winner: Jey Uso
Grade: C+
Notes and Highlights:
- It's a little strange that Jimmy Uso and Goldust weren't at ringside for their brothers.
- Michael Cole and JBL spent way too much time talking about Rusev during this match. Their main focus should be on what is going on in the ring.
Twitter Reaction
Curtis Axel vs. Justin Gabriel
For the first time in months, Curtis Axel was featured on one of WWE's top three weekly shows. Granted, it's just Main Event, but it's still a step up.
Axel picked up a win over Gabriel with a stiff running knee to the face after a decent match. This was another match that felt like it could have gone on longer, but that may have made it worse.
Axel is technically gifted, but he is kind of boring when you really watch him. Everything he does is smooth, but he never really surprises us with anything new.
It would be great to see him back in a tag team. He seems more comfortable when he has a partner to play off of.
Winner: Curtis Axel
Grade: C
Notes and Highlights:
- It's a little strange that WWE would bring back Axel and Ryback around the same time without them being a team anymore.
- It's too bad nobody in WWE knows what to do with Justin Gabriel. He has the skills to be one of the most exciting wrestlers on the roster, but he never gets to show off what he can do.
- This match wasn't uploaded to YouTube, so you can watch a special video about Sami Zayn instead.
Twitter Reaction
Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn
Two of the best and brightest in NXT brought their rivalry to Main Event this week when Sami Zayn battled Tyson Kidd.
As anyone familiar with these two would expect, Kidd and Zayn stole the show. Their technical, high-flying offense is very fun to watch.
After a series of counters, Kidd was able to steal a win with a roll-up and a handful of tights. They've had better matches in NXT, but this was a good addition to their feud.
Winner: Tyson Kidd
Grade: A-
Notes and Highlights:
- Kidd making Natalya kiss his cheek in the middle of the match was really awkward. It's a good heel move because it makes him look really conceited. Still, it's hard to watch them act so weird toward each other.
- For some reason, the match was interrupted by a random commercial break. You could tell Cole had no idea it was coming because he was mid-sentence when it happened.
- Gabriel and Kidd should become a tag team again. They were a decent combination despite not getting a real push.
Twitter Reaction
Bray Wyatt vs. Sin Cara
For some strange reason, WWE chose to end Main Event with a total mismatch. Bray Wyatt, someone who has recently feuded with John Cena and Chris Jericho, faced off against Sin Cara.
Not to take anything away from one half of the NXT tag team champions, but this match seems so far below where Wyatt should be right now.
After all the creepy videos and weeks of anticipation, it just feels wrong that Wyatt is facing a glorified jobber on the weekly "C" show.
Wyatt hit Sister Abigail to pick up the win in the most predictable outcome of 2014.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
Grade: C
Notes and Highlights:
- Can someone explain how beating Sin Cara helps Bray Wyatt?
- Kalisto should have been at ringside, and the announcers should have hyped Sin Cara as a big deal in NXT.
- Does WWE even sell the Sin Cara mask anymore? There never seems to be any in the crowd.
