Asiata is the ultimate feast-or-famine running back. As Master Tesfatsion of the Star Tribune in Minneapolis/St. Paul pointed out, Asiata has now run for three TDs in a game on three separate occasions. In his other 33 career games, his TD total is zero:
With as far apart as Asiata's extremes are, he shouldn't be considered a must-add for Week 10. Every once in a while, he'll produce a game like this, but that's interspersed with a bunch more poor games that drag down your team.
Also frustrating is that he keeps Jerick McKinnon out of the end zone. McKinnon's final numbers are listed below, which are respectable and would've looked so much better with just one TD.
| Carries | Yards | Avg. | TDs | --- |
| 14 | 54 | 3.9 | 0 | --- |
| Receptions | Targets | Yards | Avg. | TDs |
| 3 | 4 | 14 | 4.7 | 0 |
The 22-year-old has a wealth of potential, but he may be more of a keeper option for 2015 and beyond. His fantasy value is severely hampered by Asiata, a goal-line vulture.
However, if McKinnon can string a couple of good weeks together, then he might be a great option for fantasy owners as they approach the playoffs.
