
SF Giants vs. St. Louis Cardinals NLCS Game 2: Live Analysis and Reaction
After San Francisco tied the score at 4-4 with two outs in the top of the ninth on a wild pitch, Kolten Wong led off the home half of the inning with a solo home run to straightaway right field to give St. Louis the Game 2 victory to even the National League Championship Series at a game apiece.
Wong's homer was the fourth of the night for the Cardinals. Matt Carpenter, Matt Adams and Oscar Taveras hit solo home runs of their own, all to straightaway right field.

San Francisco tied the game in the top of the ninth with two outs when Cardinals closer Trevor Rosenthal threw a wild pitch on a full count to Joe Panik. Pinch runner Matt Duffy took off with the pitch and was able to score from second. Pablo Sandoval grounded out to strand the bases loaded.
Jake Peavy threw four innings, giving up two runs on four hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Lance Lynn pitched 5.2 innings for St. Louis, giving up two runs on six hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
Gregor Blanco was the only player on either side with a multi-hit game (2-for-4).
Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina left in the seventh inning with an oblique injury, according to MLB.com's Corey Brock.
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at 4:07 p.m. ET.
