Brian Hartline, Mike Wallace's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 3
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill struggled in Week 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs, limiting the fantasy football output for veteran wide receivers Brian Hartline and Mike Wallace.
| Wallace | 5 | 74 | 0 |
| Hartline | 3 | 25 | 1 |
It's an encouraging score for Hartline, but he's never had more than four touchdowns in a season and can't be counted on to reach the end zone with any consistency. Neither wideout got their mitts on the ball in the fourth quarter as the Chiefs wound down the clock with a steady dose of Knile Davis, a discouraging development as the Dolphins didn't have any chance to air it out and try to keep up with their opponents.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Wallace continues to operate as the Dolphins No. 1 receiver and get plenty of targets, as noted by Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel:
It's a sign of Wallace's playmaking talents that he is able to put up solid numbers despite the fact that defenses can (and should) game-plan to take him out of the contest.

Tannehill's uneven play mitigates the potential for both wideouts, especially Hartline, who relies more on garnering numerous targets as a possession receiver.
As of right now, Hartline should remain on the bench or perhaps shopped around as a potential trade piece. At the very least he'll need to switch up his TD celebrations as Hartline mentioned after the game via ESPN's James Walker:
Wallace's speed gives him the potential to break for a big gain on any given play, making him a solid starting option as a WR2 or as the flex option in the lineup.
The Dolphins face the Raiders in Week 4 before a bye in Week 5.
