Singapore Grand Prix 2014: Live Lap-by-Lap Updates, Highlights, Report and More
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton won Sunday’s Singapore Grand Prix ahead of world champion Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull as the Briton won back-to-back races to take the lead in the drivers’ championship for the first time since May.
And that was because Hamilton’s team-mate and title rival Nico Rosberg was forced to retire at the Marina Bay Street Circuit after suffering from electronics issues at the start of the race, meaning that the former now holds a slender three-point advantage over the German going into the remaining five contests of the season.

However, Hamilton was still required to get past Vettel with just seven laps to go after the earlier deployment of the safety car had put his seventh win of the year in jeopardy by forcing the 29-year-old to make a final pit stop late on.
Meanwhile, Daniel Ricciardo came home in third to give world champions Red Bull two drivers on the podium, with the remaining points finishers taken by Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa, Jean-Eric Vergne, Sergio Perez, Kimi Raikkonen, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen.
