Bernard Pierce, Justin Forsett's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 2
Rather than replacing Ray Rice with one running back, the Baltimore Ravens are using a two-headed monster of Justin Forsett and Bernard Pierce, making the duo very appealing in fantasy football leagues.
You can see their final stat lines below:
| Bernard Pierce | 22 | 96 | 0 |
| Justin Forsett | 8 | 56 | 0 |

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Some wondered how Pierce would respond after his poor Week 1 performance. He gained 17 yards on six carries and found himself in head coach John Harbaugh's doghouse after fumbling the ball in the second quarter:
Harbaugh said after Thursday night that Pierce "bounced back," per Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun:
CBSSports.com's Jeff Borzello noted that the 24-year-old didn't have a great game, only coming on strong late to make his final line look much better than it could've been:
Rotoworld's Patrick Daugherty also pointed out that Pierce did very little close to the goal line, which stunts some of his fantasy value:
If you're hoping to snag one off the waiver wire, Forsett will likely be your best bet. According to NFL.com at the time of writing, Forsett was owned in only 43.7 percent of fantasy leagues compared to 82.2 percent for Pierce.
Pierce is worth starting in the flex position for now and could be slotted into RB2 for those owners who are bereft of talented running backs.
Thursday night leads you to believe that Pierce will be the featured back in the Ravens offense, which certainly increases his value going forward. Even if he and Forsett are splitting carries, as long as Pierce is getting somewhere between 15-20 touches on the ground, he'll be a steady fantasy producer.
Forsett could be a great handcuff for Pierce if you're able to pick him up before next week. Despite a good Week 1, he probably shouldn't feature in your starting lineup for another week or two. By then, you should have a much better idea of how Harbaugh will use his running backs for the rest of the year.
