Ellington's numbers aren't impressive by themselves, but you have to consider that his status was in doubt right up until game time, per Michael Fabiano of NFL.com:
Michael Floyd was one of Arizona's other strong performers, recording five receptions for 119 yards. Following Floyd's 63-yard catch early in the game, Yahoo Sports' Brad Evans joked that the wideout's hype train was running off the rails:
If for some crazy reason either of the two is available in your fantasy league, you'd be wise to move and move fast. The chances are extremely slim, but maybe they slipped through the cracks somehow. Even if you're loaded at running back and/or wide receiver, both are at the very least worth keeping on your bench until the right matchup comes along.
On most fantasy teams, they're surefire starters.
Ellington will only get better as he gets healthier. The 25-year-old has a good chance of cracking 1,000 yards, which along with his ability in the receiving game makes him a strong fantasy option.
The injuries are a worry, though. As Bleacher Report's Will Carroll noted, Ellington simply can't take a painkiller and make everything better:
B/R's Dave Siebert also questioned what Ellington's foot might look like after the game:
The foot issue could linger throughout the season.
On the other side, Floyd can carve out a role in the Cardinals offense alongside Larry Fitzgerald. He might even supplant Fitzgerald as the more targeted receiver in the passing game.
Since Carson Palmer is his quarterback, Floyd's fantasy production will likely fluctuate heavily from week to week, but he's certainly worth slotting in as a WR2 at this point.
