NBA 2009-10 Season Predictions: Boston to Win Again

Magnus JohnsonJul 15, 2009

I haven't written for B/R in a while, so I thought I'd re-start my articles with a prediction for the NBA 09-10 season that may start up a little controversy. Enjoy!

EAST

1. Boston Celtics—Big Three + Rondo + Rascheed Wallace = Success.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers—They better hope to do well, if they want to keep Lebron next year.

3. Orlando Magic—Vince Carter should help replace Tourkgoulu's loss.

4. Miami Heat—Dwayne Wade wants another title bad, and he'll do all it takes to get it.

5. Detroit Pistons—Like I said in an earlier article, they'll be title contenders again this year, even without Billups or Wallace.

6. Atlanta Hawks—This team seems to never get out of the playoff picture.

7. Washington Wizards—Arenas' return = A triumphant return to the playoffs.

8. Toronto Raptors—The addition of Turkgoulu is just enough to make it back to the playoffs.

WEST

1. Los Angeles Lakers—the defending champs + Artest can't be stopped.

2. New Orleans Hornets—CP3 leads the Big Easy back on track after a disappointing season.

3. San Antonio Spurs—There's just no overlooking these guys is there?

4. Denver Nuggets—Billups and 'Melo make another run at the title.

5. Portland Trail Blazers—So close to grabbing Turkgoulu, they still are playoff-caliber.

6. Oklahoma City Thunder—Harden pushes Westbrook and Durant over the hump and they receive success for the first time in a long time.

7. Dallas Mavericks—The Lone Star State gets 2 of the 3 teams in the playoffs this year.

8. Los Angeles Clippers—Blake Griffin really gets the franchise going, making L.A. a two team city again.

P.S. I would like to point out a few things. I am not nor have I ever been a Los Angeles Clippers Fan. I truly believe that, as i put, they will make the playoffs, not just hope it. The same goes for the OKC Thunder.

Also, although I am a Boston Celtics fan, I also truly believe they will be champions this year, no just hope it.
