Trade Possibilities: What's the Braves' Next Move?
Ever since the Ryan Church deal, I have been saying, "Okay we got rid of Francoeur, now what?" You have to believe that the Braves are still going to try to deal for that big bat that Frank Wren has been trying to acquire for a while now. Here are the possibilities that I think the Braves have at landing a good power hitter to go in the middle of this lineup.
Possibility 1:
Braves get: Jermaine Dye

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
White Sox get: Todd Redmond, Jojo Reyes/Jose Parr, Gregor Blanco, Cody Johnson
Pros: A good defensive right fielder with tremendous power who can also hit for contact.
Cons: He is getting old at 35 years, and you would have to move either him or Ryan Church out of right field.
Possibility 2:
Braves get: Nelson Cruz, middle grade minor league player
Rangers get: Todd Redmond, Kris Medlen, Cody Johnson, Jojo Reyes/Jose Parr
Pros: Tremendous power and a good teammate which is all the Braves truly need.
Cons: He strikes out a lot, and is not incredibly athletic.
Possibility 3:
Braves get: Brad Hawpe
Rockies get: Todd Redmond, Kris Medlen, Gregor Blanco/Cash Considerations/Cody Johnson
Possibility 4:
Athletics get: Sean O'Sullivan, Todd Redmond/Jojo Reyes/Jose Parr/Cash Considerations
Angels get: Infante, Diory Hernandez/Gregor Blanco
If the Braves give Todd Redmond, Braves get: Matt Holliday, Middle grade minor league player
If the Braves give any of the others, Braves get: Matt Holliday
Will the Braves make any of these deals?
Possible but it's up to Frank Wren.
We don't even know if they will make a deal at all. For all we know the Braves could win the National League with the team they have right now.
I think they can.
Only time will tell what Frank Wren has up his sleeve.
