Milwaukee had Dodgers' pitcher Jeff Weaver’s number early as Ryan Braun and Fielder had first inning RBI.
In the fourth inning, Frank Catalanotto hit his first home run of the season for the Crew while Burns also helped his cause by hitting an RBI single before being thrown out my Manny Ramirez going for a double.
Mike Burns went five innings striking out seven batters while giving up three runs. After his departure, the Crew got two solid innings from Seth McClung and another from Todd Coffey before Hoffman took the ninth and picked up his 20th save of the season.
