Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
I don’t know if the Brewers will ever stop giving sizable leads to their opponents. But thankfully they overcame last night in a late game thriller. Suppan handed the Cardinals four runs in the 4th and none off of home runs. Thankfully Mat Gamel seized his opportunity in the 4th with a two run dinger to cut the lead to one. The Brewers tied it soon after and then left all sorts of runners on base until Prince Fielder finally delivered in the eighth for the go ahead run. Trevor Hoffman closed the game for his 19th save, his first since June 29th. The next pic is so great and I especially love it since the Cardinals can’t stand it.
The Bucky Channel was reading my mind and posted what I was thinking before I ever wrote it down. Though I have thought this for quite some time. The following quote just sums it up. Read the rest here.
"I really am starting to hate St. Louis more than Chicago at this point, at least in terms of their National League representatives. The Cubs may be an overall joke of a franchise, but at least they stand for something. The Cardinals are just a bunch of crybaby hacks that think it’s cool to bat the pitcher 8th, which is the dumbest thing in baseball.

Dave Bush reportedly will make a rehab start for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (A) on Friday before being moved to Huntsville (AA) to make another start on July 15th before being brought back to the rotation. This is the first time a Brewer will make a rehab start for the Timber Rattlers. Read Adam McCalvy’s blog for more on this.
The Brewers have designated Chris Narveson to make room for Manny Parra. Narveson was out of options and according to Tom Haudricourt at the Journal Sentinel, the Brewers have 10 days to release him, trade him or have him accept an assignment to Nashville. Read the post.
Doug Melvin has acknowledged that he will make the call on Roy Halladay to possibly gauge what trade options the Brewers have at this point. Personally, from the rumors I have heard, the Brewers would have to give up anyone with value to get him. This may be a lost cause already, though the once piece the Jays may like would be Escobar. Read the article here.
Jesse Motiff writes more on the possibility of bringing Halladay to Milwaukee. He notes that if the Brewers give up Escobar, they’d be out of SS’s in the minors. They’d better sign J.J. or move someone else to SS if that’s the case. It’s thought that Hardy may bold for the D’Backs after 2010. Check it out.
