One is that Albert Pujols will be participating in the home run derby. Most of us remember when he had that stellar early round in 2003 before losing in the finals. I'm sure he'll want to be putting on a show for the home-town fans and, with the season he's having, it's a strong possibility. Also be good to see him and Ryan Howard battle it out.
Something else that made the rounds that was of particular interest to me, since I'll be there Friday, were some of the exhibits that were going to be at the All-Star FanFest. Cleats from Ozzie Smith that he wore in the 1982 World Series. The mask of Yadier Molina. Championship trophies. A timeline of Cardinal history. There are going to be so many things for the baseball fan to see and do at FanFest, I really can't wait to be there.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The Cardinals take their one game lead into second-place Milwaukee tonight with a barnburner of a pitching matchup. Adam Wainwright, fresh off his dominating performance against the Giants in a game that went into extra innings, will take the mound for the Cardinals. Wainwright's already faced the Brewers twice this year, being a hard-luck loser to Jeff Suppan despite allowing just two hits in St. Louis, then beating Suppan in the rematch while again allowing only one run. The Wagonmaker has done all right against the Brew Crew in the past, but when they hit it, it usually goes aways.
Yovani Gallardo goes for the Brewers. Gallardo is having another stellar season and stymied the Cardinals in Busch on Memorial Day, going up against Chris Carpenter who carried his no-hitter into the seventh. Gallardo was just about as impressive, throwing eight shutout innings. Gallardo's career numbers against the Redbirds are heavily influenced by that game, so they don't have much positive to say. It'd be nice to have Mark DeRosa back tonight, but there's been no indication that will be the case.
