Projecting a Potential Feud Between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins

Often, there are moments in WWE history that can define the careers of several stars in the making. The actions of Seth Rollins on the June 2 edition of Raw sent shudders throughout the entire company and opened up a whole new landscape concerning The Shield.

In all fairness to the WWE, the company pulled the swerve off pretty well. Very few people saw that coming—and perhaps even less people predicted Rollins would be the one who would enact the swerve.

Arguably at the peak of its power, the most powerful stable in the WWE is no more—at least for the time being. That opens up a brand-new dynamic regarding feuds and rivalries, with Rollins likely to be heavily involved with some of the most high-profile ones.

The actions of Rollins on SmackDown this past week—costing Dean Ambrose a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship—seem to suggest those two men will lock horns at Money in the Bank.

But what if, after that mini-feud has concluded, we get another feud—Rollins, the traitor who betrayed his "brothers," locking horns with the powerhouse that is Roman Reigns.

The prospect of that rivalry occurring is simply mouthwatering. It would be a real collision of two of the biggest stars in the entire company. Forget up-and-coming talent—these two men (and Ambrose) are already at the top of the company.

It is a feud that could quite easily main event a pay-per-view, and it surely will at some point in the near future. Whilst Ambrose was incredibly outspoken regarding Rollins' betrayal, Reigns appeared to be more subdued on the mic. He is a man who lets his actions speak louder than words, and that would make for some incredibly brutal action in the ring.

Often, the matches that captivate the attention of wrestling fans are those that involve a real clash of styles. Think Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H at WrestleMania XXX—the energy of Bryan against the tactical nous of Triple H. Rollins and Reigns are like chalk and cheese in wrestling terms, and that makes for some potentially incredible contests.

It would also be a real test for WWE's creative team. Both Rollins and Reigns are destined for the very top and destined to become megastars in the WWE. But which one gets the nod first? Which one of these two Superstars gets one over on the other? It's a real tough decision, and one that would keep everyone guessing.

And let's face it: If we're unsure who is going to come out on top in this potential rivalry, the WWE is halfway to creating a piece of wrestling magic. It has the ingredients, now all it needs to do is ensure it is delivered effectively.
