A few minutes ago, USA Today tweeted that the Rangers had obtained Chirs Higgins from the Montreal Canadiens.  Minutes later, RDS claimed that the Rangers sent Scott Gomez to the Habs in return.

Could this be Slats clearing some cap space for a Heatley, Cammalleri or the Sedin twins?  It’s very possible as some possible deals have been thrown around in the MSM.  For now, we wait to see what is in store for tomorrow.  If anything happens with Heatley, it will happen tonight.

I take back every bad thing I’ve said about Glen Sather.  For now at least.  Let’s just see what happens tomorrow.
