American Pub Builds a Favela Outside to Watch World Cup 2014 in Brazil
A pub in Milwaukee has decided that the best way to mark the 2014 World Cup is to build a favela outside for fans to catch the games.
The Nomad World Pub was doing its best to get in the spirit of Brazil, but the favela, which homes millions of Brazil's poorest and most deprived citizens, has been seen to be in poor taste.

Buzzfeed reported that the pub's website had referred to the area as "shanty town" on their website, but since those reports emerged, it had been swiftly updated to "courtyard":

However, on Twitter, the pub had used the term "favela" during their build-up:
"Ola! We are looking for a few fine folks to come join our Fuvela workforce! We are almost all staffed up but are... http://t.co/Ve9yBvOsf0

It's a 10 out of 10 for enthusiasm—a few marks less for execution.
