
MLB Draft Order 2014: Complete List of Selections for Day 1
It's time for MLB teams to grab some cornerstones.
The Houston Astros are officially on the clock for the 2014 MLB draft. This year's installment marks the third year in a row that the AL West club will pick first, which sets a new record, per Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
The draft gets underway on Thursday, June 5 and runs through Saturday, June 7. On Day 1, the first two rounds plus Competitive Balance Rounds A and B will take place.

Competitive Balance Round A Order
According to MLB.com, the Competitive Balance Rounds provide "clubs with the lowest revenues and in the smallest markets the opportunity to obtain additional draft picks through a lottery." Teams that don't receive a pick in Round A are put in a lottery to receive a selection in Round B, which follows the second round.
