Top 10:The Battle Of The Point Guards

Anthony AkerJun 28, 2009

With this year being one with so many star point guards, I'm going to take my shot at the top 10.

1- Chris Paul
Chris Paul is the glue to the New Orleans Hornets,as well as a leader at a young age . He led the Hornets to the Playoffs this year and put up huge numbers with 22.8 ppg 11 ast and 5.5 boards.

2- Deron Williams
Deron Williams is a guard that is big and likes to play physical at 6'3" 207 pounds,he is a pass first guard that likes to penetrate and dish. He shows very good leadership skills since he is still a young point guard.

3- Chauncey Billups
Now a veteran, Chauncey Billups is a guy that is still at the top of his game coming home to Denver this season as he led the Denver Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals. He has 17.7 PPG  6.4 AST and 3 boards a game.

4:Tony Parker
Tony Parker is a guard that loves to get to the hoop and finish or dish of to Duncan. Parker and Duncan are one of the best Duos in the NBA right now. Parker's getting 22 PPG 6.9 ast and 3.1 boards a game.

5: Devin Harris
Devin Harris is a point guard who loves to score and uses his speed to get to the basket and draw contact. he is also a pretty good passer. getting a good amount of assists. He had 21.3 PPG  6.9 asts and 3.3 boards a game.

6:Steve Nash
Nash had a low season for him this year but that's weird because he still got about 16 points and 10 assists. I give him a lower rank this year because he couldn't lead his team to the playoffs.

7:Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose is growing up in the NBA to be a great point guard. He was the rookie of the year and had a huge impact on the Bulls in the Playoffs this year. He averaged 19 points 6 assist and 6 rebounds. But this year in the regular season he had 16.8 points and 6.3 assists. plus about 4 rebounds.

8: Baron Davis
Even though Baron didn't get as many points as he usually does he still looked pretty good in the 65 games he played, He was always a good guard that could pass shoot and drive.

9: Rajon Rondo
Is a Franchise point guard that help the Celtics without KG go farther than expected into the playoffs. His playoff average is almost a triple double! with 16.9 points 9.7 rebounds and 9.8 assists. If he plays like this next season he'll be a superstar. His regular season stats are 11.9 points 8.2 assists and 5.2 rebounds.

10: Jameer Nelson
This year this point guard was voted to his first all-star game. his Magic got to the Finals and he played some minutes but ended up losing. Next year if he plays to the caliber he did this year he will continue to be an all-star.

Outside the list looking in

13- Mike Bibby
14: Raymond Felton
