Is Matt Hardy About to Have a Major Gimmick Change?

According to Matt Hardy himself on his Twitter account, he is about to go through the biggest transformation of his life.

This along with several other cryptic messages on his Twitter account have left people guessing.

Here are the direct quotes from Matt himself which were posted on June 25, 2009.

A Brand New Matt Hardy Is Coming.. Be Ready!!!

Good night for real guys and gals.. And don't sweat it peeps, the changes are gonna be tough but ALL good.. Adios Amigos!!  

Good night everyone! I am about to go through some of the most dramatic changes in my life in a long time over the next couple of weeks.."

What exactly does this mean is anyone's guess.

What exact changes is Matt Hardy about to make.

Will it be professional changes? Personal changes?

My personal opinion is this.

I think when he is saying there is going to be a new Matt Hardy that it may mean that he will change his gimmick and appearance dramatically.

I wonder if perhaps WWE and Vince have greenlighted a gimmick and appearance change for Matt to push him over as a heel even more.

Many have speculated that Matt is injured and will be out for a while. Which has been debunked by Matt himself by stating he has been working out. A full body workout requires both arms folks.

So it is apparent that Matt's arm is not injured as some reports have said. The other interesting thing to note is Jeff Hardy's career in WWE is still in limbo.

No word on whether or not he has or will resign with WWE. Could this fact be a reason behind an impending gimmick and appearance change for Matt Hardy?Perhaps knowing Jeff is leaving WWE and Matt has devised an idea for an image change that will distance Matt from his Hardy image which has been synonymous with Jeff over the years. Sure Matt is now wearing wrestling tights and has a colonial war looking jacket.

But he still looks like the Matt of old. Could the tights and jacket just be the beginning? It has been rumored that WWE is about to give Matt a major push as a heel on Raw but that had been canned because of his new injury. But if the injury rumors are bogus, then this info by Matt could all add up.

I'll go on a limb and record and say that if the injury isn't real expect Matt to reappear on Raw shockingly in the coming weeks with a dramatically different look.

I'd be interested in hearing what you all think on this subject. Do you think Matt is about to change his gimmick and appearance? Will we be seeing Matt V3.0? Do you think his current gimmick appearance is dated?

I personally dont like the idea of a "new" Matt Hardy. But we'll have to wait and see I guess.
