Move Over NFC East, The NFC North Will Be In The Spotlight This Year

   The NFC North race for the division has officially begun. Radio and Internet reports are reporting that Brett Favre is all but wearing purple. This will be a very interesting division to watch throughout the year, so interesting that not even the Dos Equis guy can help but to be interested in the race. Here is a look at why this will be the division to watch.

   The Packers are coming off a horrible first season without Favre, they had high expectations and came up a long ways away from where they thought they would be. This year is important for the Packers, not only to prove that they can win without with out Favre, but now they have to prove that they can beat Favre.  They have talent, now more than ever it is important for everyone in the Packer organization to come out and perform.

   Da Bears, for so long the Bears defense has been the solid point of the team. Their lack of a QB that can finish games and perform consistently have not only ruined the chances of the Bears winning super bowls and playoff games, but it has driven Bears fans crazy. This Off season they have added the QB that they always needed, but are they a couple years too late?

   The 0-16 Lions, not much to say about the Lions.  They need to be smart and sit Stafford this year, he was a Junior in College and will not do as well as a senior coming out of college. They have the potential to have an explosive offense, and Culpepper is the QB this year to get them there.

   The Vikings, they could be the favorite to win the division. They have a strong running game, and their defensive line is scary. They are a QB away from being a contender for the title. The lack of consistency at the QB position was detrimental to the team, but if the reports are accurate look for the Vikings to win the division. Seeing number 4 in purple this year will make the NFC North the division to watch.
