Detroit Tigers' Ryan Perry Sent Back Down To Toledo
Jason Beck from MLB.com has just reported that reliever Ryan Perry has been sent down to AAA Toledo to iron out some issues with his command. This season Perry is 0-1 with a 4.28 ERA. He has allowed 24 hits over 27 1/3 innings with 21 walks and 25 strikeouts.
I am actually quite pleased with the move as you could see velocity, command, and his confidence slipping away. I have no doubts that he will be back soon with a vengeance.
Although a call-up has yet to be made, several names have been thrown around. Listed below are a few names and their statistics thus far:

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
RHP FREDDY DOLSI 2-2 | 4.35 ERA | 19 strikeouts in 31 innings
RHP CASEY FIEN 2-1 | 4.94 ERA | 31 strikeouts in 31 innings
Toledo also has two solid lefties, as both right handed options in Toledo are not very appealing to me.
LHP FU-TE NI 2-0 | 2.79 ERA | 28 strikeouts in 29 innings
LHP CLAY RAPADA 1-1 | 1.99 ERA | 21 strikeouts in 22 2/3 innings
While it would be risky to call up another member of the 2008 draft class, you have to wonder if Cody Satterwhite is on their radar. As I mentioned yesterday, he has been holding down the closer role well in AA Erie and could provide a similar Perry type role. While he is 2-4 with a 2.83 ERA in 28 2/3 innings, he also has managed to strike out 33 batters. He has a 1.84 ERA his last 10 games (14 2/3 innings).
