Backstage News on WWE Possibly Doing a War Games Match Soon
While the ending of Monday's Raw may have hinted at WWE finally doing a War Games bout, management has no plans to book such a match—at least, not the traditional version of it anyway.
Monday's main event set the stage for a showdown between The Shield and a newly formed Evolution, with Daniel Bryan and Kane likely thrown in somewhere.

A furious Triple H—whose planned no-holds-barred beatdown of Bryan had just been scuppered by Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns—repeatedly started screaming about how the trio had “just started a war,” leading to speculation that a WWE version of the famous WCW match could be on the verge of taking place.
However, in Tuesday's F4W Daily Update, Bryan Alvarez claims that there are currently no plans to recreate the two-ring version of match.
"For those wondering about War Games possibilities, and we talked about it last night on the show, even though HHH used the word "WAR" to describe what was coming, and even though it's a four-on-four battle, we are told not to hold your breath, largely because there are no arena set-ups between now and SummerSlam that can accommodate two rings.
"
Alvarez goes on to say, “Doesn't mean they can't do a one-ring War Games like Lockdown, or just a big cage match of some sort, but a two-ring War Games is very unlikely. “
It would be a shame if Vince McMahon never does come around to the idea of doing the match since it seems the current Bryan/Ambrose/Reigns/Rollins vs. The Authority program could be greatly aided by WCW's most famous gimmick.

Indeed, with Hell in a Cell now a tired, overused concept and the Elimination Chamber having lost whatever luster it once had, War Games is one of the few stipulation matches that seems to mean anything to fans anymore.
If nothing else, it has a great deal of novelty value.
