WWE WrestleMania 30 Results: Feuds That Lived Up to the Hype

Aaron BowerApr 8, 2014

WrestleMania 30 provided the culmination of some of the most compelling rivalries to have hit the company in the last 10 years. We saw the WWE's top guy finally get one over on The Authority and a record-breaking streak finally come to an end.

Whilst some matches at the event didn't quite live up to the hype they promised, several delivered big-time.

Whether it was the result of the match that left everyone feeling satisfied or the action inside the ring itself, there was plenty that lived up to the expectation and anticipation. Let's take a look at the feuds that delivered.

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Considering how little interest the majority of wrestling fans take in John Cena, this was a pretty good feud that delivered on several fronts.

First of all, the result did one thing in particular: It enabled the feud to continue over the forthcoming months. A victory for Bray Wyatt could well have closed the book on the rivalrybut Cena's win means Bray will certainly seek redemption.

Cena's win leaves the door open for the future.

And the match itself certainly delivered. Cena's battle with his own emotions and loyalties added an interesting dynamic to the matchsomething you don't get with Cena sometimes.

Bray is a great worker, and his bizarre approach inside the ring also made for great viewing. Hopefully the feud continues to rumble at Extreme Rules.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker

How could this rivalry possibly have failed to live up to the hype, considering the result? It is a match that people will talk about for perhaps the rest of timeit was the most significant result in WrestleMania history.

There was so much promise here, with the match being a few years in the making. And the inclusion of Paul Heyman into the feud also made it compelling viewinghe is the best talker the WWE currently has.

Although the match itself was a bit flat in places regarding the actual action, all that changed when Brock Lesnar scored that telling three-count. It was a moment that shook the company like no other and which will be discussed for a very long time.

Lesnar's momentum is now so huge that he could realistically do anything he wanted within the company. If he wants a run at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he will get it.

And it's all because his feud with Undertaker was so stunning.

Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

In all honesty, this rivalry had serious potential to fail. It had been built up for months and months, and it featured twist after twist along the way.

It could seriously have fallen flat on its face at WrestleMania had the WWE not mapped it out correctly. Thankfully though, they got it spot-on.

As WrestleMania inched closer and closer, the tension and the buildup between the two men got better and better. The atmosphere heightenedand it made the match at 'Mania must-see.

And both men pulled it out of the bag inside the ring, too. It was arguably the match of the night, with both men holding nothing back as the action unfolded.

There was so much hype around this match that it was in danger of never living up to it. However, it delivered immensely and left us all satisfied with the eventual outcome.
