Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H Results: Classic Match Creates Intrigue for Main Event
If the rest of the WrestleMania 30 card is on par with the opening match, it will be one of the greatest in WWE history. To the delight of the millions of fans in the Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan defeated Triple H to earn a spot in the main event.
Later on Sunday night, Bryan will take on Randy Orton and Batista in a Triple Threat match for the WWE Heavyweight Championship—if he's physically able to compete.
This match was an instant classic. It had the type of back-and-forth action that makes for an epic showcase. The two Superstars battled outside the ring and on the announcer's table.
Triple H hit his patented Pedigree on Bryan, but the promotion's biggest fan favorite kicked out of the pin attempt.
The Game even attempted to make Bryan submit to the Crossface submission. That didn't get the job done either.
Bryan definitively grabbed control of the match and hit his Solid Knee Plus and pinned Triple H clean.
Extreme Gamer thinks the match sent a message to the rest of the performers scheduled to work at the event:
Bryan's fanbase loves his indie style. Triple H showed he could keep up with Bryan. The host of Straight Shoot, Aubrey Sitterson recognizes The Game's technical prowess.
Aside from the awesome in-ring action, Stephanie McMahon's presence added quite a bit to the match. Beyond looking like this...
...her facial expressions and periodic chants only helped to further tell the story.
After Bryan got the win by pinfall, The Authority wasn't quite happy or done. McMahon jumped in the ring and began slapping Bryan. As the Mrs. tee'd off on the winner, The Game clubbed him from behind.
Finally, he slammed the already "injured" shoulder of Bryan with a steel chair.
Obviously, this was done to create some doubt as to whether Bryan would be available for the main event. Can Bryan recuperate enough to have a shot at winning the title?
Probably, but one thing is for sure. This was a match fans will remember for a while.
Follow me. I go back like Gentleman Chris Adams and Stan "The Lariat" Hansen.
