WWE Main Event Results: Winners, Twitter Reaction and Analysis from April 1

Welcome to Bleacher Report's recap of WWE Main Event. Here is where we take a look at what happened on the show, examining the winners, reactions to matches and any possible ramifications coming out of the program.

For the first time since the WWE Network launched, Main Event is not being broadcast live. The live show has its appeal, but a show taped ahead of time can appear more polished.

This week only featured two matches in order to leave room for every video package WWE currently has in rotation.

Sheamus vs. Miz

This was a very physical match that turned out to be much better than expected. Neither man controlled the match for too long at any one time, allowing the pace to stay quick and the action to be entertaining.

You would think this was a grudge match of some kind by the way these two beat on each other, but it was just a random match on Main Event.

Sheamus won with a Brogue Kick out of nowhere, like he always does, but Miz looked tougher than usual against the Irishman.

This is the kind of action Main Event used to produce on a weekly basis, and lately we have been seeing a return to that trend. Hopefully it keeps up.

Winner: Sheamus

Grade: A-

Notes and Highlights:

• Sheamus brings out the brawler in almost anyone. He forces people to come up to his level of energy.
• The fallaway slam Sheamus hit right into the barricade was especially brutal-looking.
• Miz's hair is getting really long. It's not important, just something that is noticeable.

Twitter Reaction:

Tamina vs. Nikki Bella

This wasn't a bad Divas match, but it wasn't especially good either. Basically, it was a typical Divas match.

Nikki has clearly been training hard with John Cena because her strength has clearly increased in recent months.

This was a match done to hype the upcoming 14-Diva title match on Sunday, and it accomplished its goal.

Winner: Tamina

Grade: C

Notes and Highlights:

• What was the point of Tamina turning on AJ if she is right back with her?
• Seeing the Superfly Splash is always cool, but Tamina's always looks odd for some reason.
• I think it's because she never really gets horizontal. She just kind of jumps off the ropes and lands on her feet way before her hands hit the mat.

Twitter Reaction:

The rest of the show was basically hype videos for WrestleMania, which is expected at this point. WWE doesn't need to pack a C-show like Main Event with matches when they have more important things to worry about.

With just a few days before the biggest event of the year, we can assume that the card is set for the show. What are your predictions for WrestleMania, and what did you think of Main Event?
