WrestleMania is the biggest show of the year for the WWE, and the matches already announced for the 30th edition of the annual pay-per-view have set the stage for one of the biggest wrestling events in history.

On Sunday, April 6, the Mercedes Superdome in New Orleans will be electric.

Regardless of how long the plan has been for Daniel Bryan to get his chance to participate in the main event of WrestleMania XXX, the fact that he has become the main focus of the entire company during the build to the show indicates his status as a top star.

Bryan is the focal point this year.

Whether it is his match against Triple H or the WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout later in the night against Batista and Randy Orton—Bryan will advance to the main event by beating Triple H—the major angle heading into Sunday’s PPV is Bryan’s pursuit of the title.

Breaking Down WrestleMania 30

This year’s edition of WrestleMania begins and ends with Daniel Bryan. Triple H has stacked the odds against him for the last several months, and now Bryan will get his chance at retribution. Not only will Bryan beat Triple H, but he will also cement his spot in the main event.

As much as wrestling fans want Bryan to walk out of Sunday’s show with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, this could be another opportunity for the company to hold the underdog down before finally giving him the title on Raw the following night or at Extreme Rules.

Bryan would get a huge rub from winning at WrestleMania and overcoming the odds, but the booking of this storyline has proven time and time again that the fans get exponentially angrier with each screwjob.

After another loss in the main event on Sunday, the fans will be whipped into a frenzy.

Besides the Bryan saga, there are several marquee matches also on the card, including The Undertaker taking on Brock Lesnar. While there are few fans that believe Lesnar will beat the undefeated WrestleMania legend, the match has all the earmarks of an instant classic.

Regardless of who wins, Lesnar and The Undertaker will have a Match of the Year candidate.

Another exciting bout will be the battle between John Cena and Bray Wyatt. With weeks of intense promos and entertaining visuals, the WWE has set the stage for the face of the company to help further its future by giving Wyatt the marquee victory he needs.

Bray Wyatt winning at WrestleMania would catapult him into the upper echelon.

The future is already bright when it comes to The Shield, and the trio will easily beat the thrown-together tandem of Kane and the New Age Outlaws. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins deserve much better than this, but at least it indicates a lengthy run as top faces in the company.

Speaking of thrown together, the Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational was just a way to get the women on the card. The WWE Universe should expect AJ Lee to retain her title due to this match meaning nothing.

One of the more underrated matches on the card is the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. With 30 stars expected to crowd the ring, the possibilities for surprise entrants and an upset victory are through the roof. There is a chance to build a new star in this bout, and it should be NXT standout Alexander Rusev who wins the match and starts his first program against Big Show.

The only remaining match to discuss will be the pre-show Fatal 4-Way for the Tag Team titles. As much as The Usos have been put in a position to succeed, unless The Real Americans break up at WrestleMania, Cesaro and Jack Swagger should win the belts.

Whether you agree with the predictions or not, the card itself is incredible, and WrestleMania XXX should be one of the most exciting sporting events of 2014.
