NFL Coach's Book Prepares B/R Scribe For Father's Day Speech
Tony Dungy's book, Uncommon, is great reading. I mentioned it to a pastor in Houston, and an invitation to be the keynote speaker on Father's Day was the exciting outcome.
Who would have thought that a mere visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, with perfect timing to meet Dungy and several Pittsburgh Steelers' rookies would result in speaking engagements.
The reason I was all hyped up to visit Canton was because of my experiences with the B/R site.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On June 5, 2009 at about 5 PM, we were getting ready to depart the HOF and return to Cleveland, Ohio. We saw a long line near the entrance of the HOF gift shop. We asked, "What's going on?"
It was Tony Dungy, drawing a crowd for his book signing.
We bought six books, and one was for children. Dungy autographed all of them.
I started reading one of the books on the airplane as I returned to Houston, on June 7. There was so much wisdom in the book, I could not put it down.
Later, I started telling friends, family and students about it. I even recited the 10 points on a card Dungy gave me about all-pro fathers.
I am ready for the speech to be delivered on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at 11 AM in Houston. My topic is influenced by a chapter of Dungy's book: "Powerful Thoughts."
Three key questions from Uncommon will be posed:
What is down in your well?
From what source does the water in your well come?
From where do you draw strength and direction for your life?
You can be certain that I will share examples of excellence from both the visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and the experiences of seeing one of the greatest NFL coaches and one of the greatest NFL team's rookies, all on the same day.
I am prepared. I will make the presentation. Hopefully, others will be empowered on Father's Day 2009.
Everyone should read one of Tony Dungy's books?
