Give Me Some Blood: Where Did All the Hardcore Wrestling Go?
Hello, everyone. As always, thanks for spending a few minutes with me.
Over the last few days, I have been thinking about the Extreme Rules PPV.
It wasn't the title changes that were on my mind. It also wasn't the fact that every match was awful, besides three of them.

What was on my mind, folks, was the lack of blood and brutal violence.
I will be honest with you people; I prefer a solid technically sound match nine times out of 10.
That being said, sometimes I just Jones a for a straight-up brutal beating. I wanna see bloodshed and I also when see bodies left laid in a pool of blood.
After that PPV, I was left with that craving, and it is a craving that isn't easily quenched.
I decided to bust out the DVD collection and I still wasn't satisfied. I have seen the same hardcore matches over and over.
Whether it was Japan, ECW, Mexico, it just wasn't getting the job done.
The problem was I have seen these same matches over and over and over again.
I want to see some new blood!!
I wanna see some absolute brutal hardcore action from some newer faces. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.
I could be wrong but other than a few Indy scenes, I think it is all gone.
Maybe I'm just morbid for wanting to fulfill these primal feelings of rage, anger, and violence.
What can I say though, sometimes I just enjoy watching a wrestler bleed after seeing his head ran through barbed wire.
I will be honest with you all, one time I saw a live staple gun match. You have not lived until you have seen one of those.
I am sorry if I am babbling a bit. I have been known to do that from time to time.
I know I cant be the only one feeling this way. Do any of you remember a thing called a scaffold match?
I remember them as night and day, and let me tell ya something folks they were fun to watch.
Hardcore wrestling is older than me, it has always been around and will always be around.
Also for the record while I'm feeling nice and toasty. ECW's hardcore wrestling was overrated; that's right, I said it. Deal with it.
I want you folks to go watch some hardcore Japan wrestling or even some old NWA matches.
Then tell me how hardcore ECW was. I promise you people its not even close.
I move on, though. I am getting a little off course; sorry about that.
The point I'm trying to make is, it is okay to want to see this stuff. There is nothing wrong for a wrestling fan to get that blood lust.
The next point I'm trying to make is, where the hell did it all go?
Is it possible to get some main stream hardcore wrestling in the United states.
I guess I will have to just be patient. It will always make its way back around; that I can promise you wonderful people.
The fact is: it never dies; it just stays hidden for a awhile waiting for the right moment to resurface.
Until that day, I guess I will just have to stay unsatisfied and unfulfilled.
In case some of you younger fans don't know. That is a picture of Terry Funk; a true American hardcore legend.
Thanks for reading my ramblings.
As always, have a great night and god bless.
