OVER 9.5 Atlanta/Baltimore:
It’s about time for the Orioles to break out of this team wide batting slump they’re in. Baltimore’s bats have suddenly hit the skids after being lights out the first 8 weeks of the season. Hopefully tonight they bounce back at home. Kenshin Kawakami has been solid througout his rookie season. He’s only 3-6 with a 4.62 ERA but has pitched better of late, giving up 6 runs in his last 13 innings pitched. Look for a decent effort tonight, and hopefully some runs scored by both teams. Rich Hill was pitiful for the O’s in his last start, where he dind’t even get out of the first inning. He allowed 3 runs in just 2/3rd an inning last Sunday at Oakland. Hill is 2-1 this season with a 5.24 during his first season in the American League. The ball tends to fly out of Camden Yards when the weather gets warm, and tonight’s 90 degree temperatures in Baltimore make it prime for a high scoring game this evening.

Florida +130 over Toronto:
Big win last night on the road for the Fish. Sure it helped that Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay got hurt in the 4th inning, but still they came back to win a big game. Cody Ross’ grand slam in the 8th inning was the key for the Marlins. They’ll go for their second straight this afternoon with impressive rookie Sean West (1-1, 2.22) on the mound opposing Casey Janssen (2-2, 5.24). West was brilliant in his last outing, pitching 8 shutout innings en route to his first major league win in a 4-0 victory over San Francisco. Florida has high hopes for this youngster and he’s off to a nice start. Casey Janssen has struggled since coming off of the DL, but did win his last start. He is still very limited in his pitch counts, and with the Jays use of their bullpen last night, we think this one is ripe for the taking for the upstart Marlins.
