Projecting the Best WrestleMania Opponent for Cesaro
What will Cesaro do at WrestleMania XXX?
The Swiss is undoubtedly one of WWE’s rising stars right now. He can wrestle up a storm—just check out his phenomenal match with John Cena on Raw a few weeks ago—and his Giant Swing finisher is now one of the most famous and loved moves in the company.
He’s also got a decent amount of charisma and personality—some of his promos have been very good indeed.

Takeaways From SNME 44 ➡️
Really, he has all the makings of a great babyface.
It may have taken a while, but Vince McMahon and management seem to have warmed to the wrestler.
A report from F4WOnline (h/t WrestlingInc.com) circulated last year that people in power inexplicably found the former Ring of Honor performer “boring” and that’s why he wasn’t getting pushed. Depressing stories like this really do make you worry about the future of this company sometimes.

Cesaro's profile has skyrocketed over the past couple of months and he even participated in last month’s Elimination Chamber match.
Yes, after a rocky couple of years, Cesaro is now mixing it up with the main eventers.
He’s also on the verge of a babyface turn, judging by his recent clashes with long-term tag team partner Jack Swagger. The pair has been bickering and arguing an awful lot lately, and on Monday’s Raw, Swagger once again cost Cesaro his match with Big E Langston.

The message is clear: These two are headed for a split, and very, very soon.
A singles match at WrestleMania—with manager Zeb Colter caught in the middle—is the likeliest option. It would also serve as the perfect opportunity to pull the trigger on Cesaro’s babyface turn.
However, I wouldn’t rule out some sort of three-way match for Big E’s Intercontinental Championship. This would also be a way to get Big E on the card.

That may be a better option. The title being on the line would give the match a greater sense of importance and may garner more interest than two tag team partners who have simply fallen out.
Sadly, whatever Cesaro does in New Orleans, it probably isn’t going to be treated as a huge deal.

WWE is simply more focused on its main event programs like Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan and The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar. Those are the matches that will get the attention and extra time at the event.
I’d like to think Cesaro vs. Swagger—or, alternatively, Cesaro vs. Swagger vs. Big E—would get enough time to shine on the pay-per-view, but it does seem unlikely.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean Cesaro can’t use whatever time he does have to perform to the best of his abilities. He’s certainly talented enough to churn out a strong and eye-catching showing.
