Game 61 Preview: Detroit Tigers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
Date: June 12
Time: 7:05 pm
Teams: Detroit Tigers at Pittsburgh Pirates
Park: PNC Park
Weather: 73 degrees and sunny
Starting Pitchers: Rick Porcello (6-4, 3.98) vs. Ian Snell (1-6, 5.54)
Records: Detroit (33-27); Pittsburgh (28-32)
Last 10 Games: Detroit (5-5); Pittsburgh (6-4)
My Two Cents: Pittsburgh isn’t quite the doormat they’ve been in years past, but this is still a series the Tigers should take.
It all starts tonight with Rick Porcello. Porcello is the top starter the Tigers will send out in this series, so tonight should result in a win.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The Pirates obviously have no experience against the 20-year-old rookie.
Starting for the Pirates is Ian Snell. Even though his numbers this season say otherwise, Snell is a pretty good young pitcher. Sadly for Snell and the Pirates, Snell is a lefty and the Tigers hit lefties well.
Walks have always been a problem for Snell, so if the Tigers hitters stay patient, they should be in good shape tonight.
Snell has one career start against the Tigers and it came way back in 2006. He lasted five innings and gave up home runs to Chris Shelton and Carlos Guillen. I’m guessing neither of those guys go deep tonight.
Miguel Cabrera is 2-5 against Snell with a home run and four runs batted in.
